You’re in the company of professionals.

Daniel Schneider-Marfels – Managing Director/Owner

As an IT specialist I’m passionate about taking the forward thinking, into the future approach to business.  I just really, really want businesses – small, medium and big to get the best value out of IT. It’s like a jigsaw, fitting all the pieces together to create the perfect IT picture.

Melissa and I created our own start-up IT business in 1998 and in 2007 we became part owners of Total Computers.  In January 2014 we became the proud sole owners of what is now called TotalCom.  We have a great team at TotalCom, which makes coming to work everyday a real pleasure.

TotalCom is very proud to have recently supported the Kids Club by sponsoring 20 “at risk” kids to attend a rugby camp. Who knows, there might be some future AB’s in there! It’s all about making the future brighter for all our kids.  We’re also sponsors of Heart Kids and many other worthwhile charities out there that need our support and help.

If you want the team who are family and community focused and who strive for a better future, then come and pick our brains!  We won’t just “sell you the box”.

Melissa Rhyndress – Senior Engineer/Owner

What I enjoy most is the buzz I get from solving people’s I.T. problems. I love making sure we give our customers the best IT solutions; it’s a job you can’t really do without loving it.

Our greatest asset is our strong team work ethic. We rely on each other and we help each other. We just roll up our sleeves and get stuck in.

Daniel and I have worked together for years now and we have the utmost trust in each other. This is key when you are in business together.

Like Daniel, I’m really proud of how we support our community – we’re the IT experts with a soft spot for all the awesome kids in our community.

Susan Whareaorere – Financial Manager

I joined TotalCom nearly 17 years ago (under the original owners) when there were 2 shops (one retail & one workshop) based opposite the Mount Maunganui Library.  So even though I’m not an IT specialist I do know a thing or two about computers and IT now!  So after a few moves and changes over the years, I’ve been incredibly lucky to work for a company that has always been not just about computers, but about people. I love meeting our customers who pop into our lovely, bright modern offices.

Daniel and Melissa certainly take a very proactive customer focus approach to IT and that’s why I love working in this team. The work is varied, the people and customers are great and it certainly keeps me on my toes.

Steve Meredith – Senior Engineer

As a local Tauranga boy born and bred, working as a Senior Engineer isn’t just about being “the jack of all trades”, it’s also about helping businesses out with their IT needs and business planning.   It’s great to be part of such a close-knit team and we know a lot of what we do is based on trust.

We don’t take this trust lightly.  We would prefer to help businesses be proactive with their IT needs so their budgets don’t blow out unexpectedly. How we do this is to create an IT strategy that sits within the financial plan. We all see this as a very important skill set to have because we highly value business success.

We work alongside the company Accountant, Office Manager, Owner/Operators and those responsible for keeping the business running and focus on specific jobs at hand that need immediate attention. Our clients can relax with the knowledge that we can handle any of their requests when they need it.
